MSE-LT205HT Laser Distance Measurement Sensor for Measuring off Hot Surfaces as hot as 1200°C (2192°F)

General Description

The MSE-LT20HT Laser Distance Measurement Sensor operates over a substantial range off static or passing product in difficult areas in harsh hazardous and outdoor environments. The MSE-LT20HT  measures distances over a working range up to 20 meters (65.6 feet) off of natural surfaces that have a very hot surface temperature up to 900°C (1652°F).

Especially suited for precise detection and measurement of cold/hot product at temperatures up to 900°C (1652°F). For lower product temperature the Model MSE-LT205 is available for measurement of cold/hot product at product temperatures up to 600°C (1112°F) and the Model MSE-LT205VHT is available for measurement of cold/hot product at product temperatures up to 1200°C (2192°F).

Straightforward alignment is easily accomplished via the visible red laser measuring beam.

Accuracy is ±1mm (±0.039in) to ± 2mm (±0.079in) according to ambient temperature and surface reflectivity. Repeatability is ± 0.5mm (±0.0197in) and the user scalable resolution is 0.1mm.

The zero offset and the span of the 4 - 20mA analog output are both user programmable. The distance offset is also user programmable, this allows the user to define a zero point independent of the analog output zero offset.

Provided with a user programmable digital switching output which is triggered by exceeding in the positive or negative direction a user programmable distance threshold. The hysteresis of the digital switching output is also programmable.

The MSE-LT205HT is provided in a robust dust and waterproof protected IP66 enclosure. Standard operating temperature range is -10°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F). An optional internal PTC heater is available for operation down to -40°C (-40°F. An optional water cooled or vortex air cooled jacket is available for additional protection for elevated temperature applications.

The low cost MSE-LT205HT Laser Distance Meter provides a highly accurate measurement reading. It is ideal for length and width determination, and checking position of product. It is ideal for length, width, diameter, thickness, level, depth and height position determination.
 
Supplied as standard with a either RS232 or an optional RS422/RS485 serial interface with a 2400 to 38,400 Baud Rate & a programmable 4 - 20mA 16 BIT analog output.

Optional ProfiBus DP, ProfiNet, and Ethernet TCP/IP Field Bus Interface Options are also available. DeviceNet and EthernetI/P Field Bus Interface Options will soon be available.
