The MSE-RT20 Cold and Hot Metal Detector Retro-Reflective Laser Barrier operates over a range of greater than 20 meters (65.6FT) enabling precise detection of hot or cold product in difficult areas.

The MSE-RT20 is a robust sensor especially suited for precise detection and measurement of narrow profile product. Utilizing modulated laser beam with IR filtering enables precise detection of both cold and hot product.

The MSE-RT20 operates from 24VDC power input. Standard outputs include a cradle relay with a form C SPDT Contact rated at 250VAC, 8A and switch selectable NPN/PNP transistor outputs.

Straightforward alignment is easily accomplished via the visible red Class II laser beam. Continuous self-check facility with LED indication of reflector contamination or poor signal return.

The MSE-RT20 Cold and Hot Metal Detector Retro-Reflective Laser Barrier  contains a semiconductor laser device, which emits modulated visible red Class 3R light pulses at a fixed pulse repetition rate, as long as the supply voltage is applied.

When the MSE-RT20 is set up and properly aligned, these light pulses are reflected off of the special retro-reflector and picked up by the highly sensitive photo-detector incorporated in the unit.

Upon pick-up of the modulated laser light pulses the relay and transistor outputs are activated and change state from the "OFF" state to the "ON" state. When the beam is broken by hot or cold product, or any object the photo-detector circuitry drops out which then causes the relay and transistor outputs to change state from the "ON" state to the "OFF" state. The Green "Functio" LED is lit when the outputs are in the "ON" state.

The MSE-RT20 Is supplied 3 LEDs mounted on the rear. These LEDs indicate Power On (red LED), Function (green LED) the LED is lit when he laser beam is correctly aligned with the reflector and goes out when the beam is broken, and a Contamination (Yellow LED) this LED flashes when wither the laser lens on the front end is dirty, the reflector is contaminated, or there is poor signal return.

The MSE-RT20  is a direct replacement for the MCSL Model LT200M. Please contact us for additional information.
